Today marks the conclusion of the third round of negotiations between Belize and El Salvador. After a week of negotiations, a promising Partial Scope Agreement that will benefit both countries is on the verge of agreement. All chapters of the Agreement have been agreed upon, outstanding are two annexes that are near completion, but will require both nations to do further consultations. The Parties demonstrated unwavering commitment through their dedicated teams, who have worked diligently and collaboratively to bring us to this pivotal moment, all remains committed and have scheduled online meetings to bring finality to the negotiations in the coming weeks.
This agreement will be a significant step forward in strengthening the economic ties between our countries, paving the way for enhanced trade and mutual prosperity. We are excited about the progress made and look forward to finalizing this crucial agreement to foster deeper cooperation and shared growth.
